my last blog about how barack obama shelved a bill to prevent infanticide created a lot of anger among both some of my friendster friends and more than some of my new york friends…its interesting that none of them voiced their opinion in a comment to my blog but by a friendster message or an e-mail…i guess they were ashamed to take the side of this man on this issue…i was tempted to post these mails and messages but i decided against doing so…
i think they were more angry that i let out this dirty little secret than his holiness sanctioning the killing of live born babies…or maybe they would rather not know about this…i dont know and i dont really give a shit…
im happy to say that this soon will become a major story that this evil man wont be able to stutter his way out of

in february 2004 us senate candidate barack obamas wife michelle sent a fund-raising letter with the alarming news…right-wing politicians had passed a law stopping doctors from stabbing half-born babies in the neck with scissors and suctioning out their brains and crushing their skulls… of course she didnt use those words…what she used instead was the term partial-birth abortion…
a bill making partial birth abortion illegal (except in the case when the mothers life is in danger) had just passed congress and the president was expected to sign it…
because these abortions are done in the final stages of the babys development the same method that is used in killing the baby in early term abortions cannot be used… so in partial birth abortion or late term abortion the baby is partially delivered feet first… and then scissors are inserted to make a hole in the babys head and then the brains are sucked out and the skull is crushed…
michelle obama called partial-birth abortion a legitimate medical procedure and asked supporters to please pay $150 to attend a luncheon for her husband who would fight against this cynical ploy to stop it
my sisters friend reggie is a nurse in virginia…she had to give up the practice because of abortions…abortions are bad enough but according to reggie there are times when even after being aborted the baby comes out alive…the doctors are not allowed to kill these babies…what is procedurally done is to shelve these babies…they are put on a shelf in the laundry room and left to die…
legislation was presented on the federal level called the born alive infant protection act (baipa)… It stated all live-born babies were guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection whether or not they were wanted…in other words if a baby is born alive after an abortion the doctor must take every step to keep it alive…
baipa sailed through the us congress by unanimous votes…even the most pro abortion congressmembers said that the mothers right to choose stopped at the babys delivery…even naral (the activast pro abortion organization) remained neutral on baipa…president bush signed the bill into law in 2002… but this law only regulated federal hospitals…states were getting in line to pass state versions of baipa…
and then came the state of illinois… barack obama was chairman of the senate committee that heard testimony on baipa… obama said he worried that legislation protecting live aborted babies might infringe on womens rights or abortionists rights…obama’s clinical discourse and lack of mercy for the baby was shocking…
obama was and is the only lawmaker on the federal or state level to actually speak against baipa
so as chairman he shelved the baipa resolution…not even allowing it to come to a vote…
its ironic that the proper term for what obama did was shelve the resolution…just as he wanted the babies to be shelved…
how is this evil man so easily able to smile

my family is multiethnic and multiracial…
that has happened by my fellow italian family members marrying outside their ethnicitys and race…
also my friends are of all ethnicitys and races…that hasnt happened by plan but rather by the neighborhood that i grew up…ozone park in new york city is possibly the most mixed area in the usa…
if my friend jimmy (who is black) invited me to attend his church and i heard his minister preach absolute hate from the pulpit i probably would just sit there until the service was over…i would then probably ask my friend how he could attend a church like that…i probably would ask my friend how he would want a friend like me since his minister is blaming all the ills of the world on people like me (white)…i would probably then tell my friend that he was no longer my friend…
the same with senator obama…
the senator claims he didn’t know about these hatefilled rantings and has said he was never in the church when his minister spoke that way…
lets say we were so blinded by obamas aura or that we were dumb enough to believe that he didn’t know what his minister (who was also his counselor and friend) had been preaching…
well it is now reported that the senator was present during at least one hatefilled sermon of his minister…the senator was in attendance on 22 july 07 with reporter jim davis of newsmax…mr davis says that instead of walking out of the church senator obama sat in his pew nodding his head as his minister spewed his hate…
why would anyone want a president who seems to believe in this racial hate and furthermore why would a man want to be president if he believes all this…
ummmmmmm…i wonder why

i have not written a blog in quite some time…i was more concerned with my family and my work than i was in politics…but the other day the media designated future first lady showed how much she hated america…i felt compelled to write this…
michelle obamas comment that for the first time in her adult life she felt proud of america helps us know who barack obama is…a wife of a candidate is free to have views that are different from her husbands…but on a matter that is so fundamental to ones being as love/hate of country it is difficult to imagine how mrs obama could twice make that statement without first discussing it with her husband…
equally telling is how that statement aligns with the hate-america views of barack obamas minister the rev jeremiah wright…more than his minister the rev wight is obamas mentor/spiritual advisor/friend/sounding board for more than 20 years…
on the sunday following september 11 2001 the rev wright gave a sermon characterizing the terrorist attack as the consequence of the violent american policies…in 2005 he suggested that the attacks were retribution for americas racism…
“in the 21st century white america got a wake-up call after 9/11/01” wright wrote in his church magazine Trumpet. “white america and the western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away and faded into the woodwork or just disappeared as the great white west kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns”…
in other words he included the terrorists as his people-of-color brothers that only reacted to the evil white man…
wright has been a key supporter of louis farrakhan and in december honored the nation of islam leader for lifetime achievement saying he “truly epitomizes greatness”…farrakhan has repeatedly made hate-filled statements targeting jews/whites/america/gays…
those who think two of the closest people to obama could publicly make anti-America statements unless obama himself felt that way are fooling themselves…
those who do not want to believe she meant what she said and that barack obama could not be so close to rev wright if he did not himself believe in much of what he has said are in denial. ..
"if barack gets past the primary he might have to publicly distance himself from me" wright told the new york times with a shrug "i said it to barack personally and he said ‘yeah, that might have to happen’"
the real barack obama is starting to emerge and for those of us who are grateful to america for everything it represents it is not a pretty sight…

i made the above animated image of myself (it doesnt show the movement as this blog site disables animation)…the idea came to me when i saw that a web friend had given herself animated wings and i immediately said "oh i want those too"…i then posted the animation on my profile along with a poem i wrote…
.
i have slipped the bonds of earth
and danced the skies with feathered wings
up up the long cold burning blue
where never even a lark or eagle flew
and while with a silent lifting mind ive trod
i put out my hand and touched the Face of God
.
then i remembered i had written a poem about wings a while back so i looked through my old poetry and found this…
.
if i only had wings
with them i would fly
to paradise rainbows
beneath the star blue sky
where eagles do soar
and angels do sing
these times o how i wish
if i only had wings
.
i guess i always had a thing for wings…

my cousin reina is leaving for mineapolis this afternoon to try out in the american idol auditions…i spoke with her over the phone a little while ago and told her that my prayers are with her…not that she gets chosen but that she does her best…
unfortunately these preliminary auditions are not all about talent because most of the thousands there have talent…at this level its also about looks…the idol people know what look they want for this years show…so if they accept more talented guys and gals with that look the chances are greater that they can dictate what type of contestant eventually gets to the television part of the contest…
.
two years ago one of the audition sites was orlando which was close to naples where reina was living at that time…she saw her friend vonzell solomon at the audition…reina and vonzell were both working for the same entertainment group and at times sang together at functions…vonzell was selected and eventually went all the way to third place but reina wasnt selected…proof that talent isnt all that matters at this level of auditions is that the orlando audition was vonzells seventh try at idol…over two years she was rejected by six idol preliminary auditions…that was reinas first try and this will be her second…
.
those who are selected at this round move on to audition for the shows producers…then the survivors perform in front of the three host judges…that level is taped and shown on television when american idol begins its sixth season later this year…
.
today and tomorrow is registration and friday is the auditions…
.
GOOD LUCK REINA!!!
.
.
.
addendum…
friday sept 8th at 1pm minnesota time
(8pm my time)
.
.
i spoke to reina a couple hours ago (10am minnesota time)…shes at target center which is the home stadium of the minnesota timberwolves basketball team and also the site of the american idol auditions…she said she expected to get her 10 seconds to sing at about 3pm…but what she told me doesnt bode well for her…she said so far all the best singers have been rejected…the only two she saw accepted was a girl on skates with a raggedy ann wig and another girl that was dressed as a fairy…nope doesnt sound too good…
.
.
final ameriocan idol/reina update
.
well…reina called me that she was told ‘you have a beautiful voice but youre not what we are looking for’…reina told me there were probably 15000 trying for maybe 20-25 openings…she didnt see anyone other than the ‘weirdos’ being accepted…i told her (half jokingly) that she should go dressed as shirley temple and sing on the good ship lollypop…
the next and final audition site is seattle on september 19th…
i dont know if shes going to try again…

.
this movie was really well done and surprisingly apolitical for the most part…i think it captures the severity of the incident without encompassing too much mass destruction and chaos…several shots are done tastefully enough to appear haunting without visually overpowering the audience…the film reveals different perspectives of 9-11 from a 1st person stand point…it is about humanity standing out in the midst of chaos and destruction…its a pointed look at the number of people who lost their lives attempting to save hundreds of others lost in the confusion…i believe anyone old enough to clearly remember the 9-11 events will in some way feel the impact of this film..
.
to view the second plane crashing into the world trade center click this link…
.
.
in one of my blogs i spoke of the movie united 93 in relation of what i was doing at the time that flight was being hijacked until it was crashed into a pennsylvania field…in another more recent past blog i spoke of my friend robert who was killed in the world trade center…
.
and now for the rest of my story…
.
my cousin agnello lived at 310 greenwich street which is just north of the world trade center site (if you remember when president bush was at the site speaking with a bull horn…well the television cameras were placed on the roof of 310 greenwich)…
.
.
he called me that afternoon from work to ask if he could stay at my house because he wasnt sure if he still had an apartment and if he did it was probably brought back to the stone ages…while we were speaking we decided to first go to ground zero and see if we could help…i met him at 14th street and eighth avenue about 2pm that afternoon…this was the southernmost point the subways went that day…we walked the rest of the way and when we got to canal street we were stopped by a police blockade that prevented travel beyond that point…the only exception was for residents and aggie was a resident…when we reached chambers street a smell became evident and became stronger and stronger as we neared the apartment…there was also a white dusty covering on everything…we got to his building and walked up the 38 floors to his apartment and except for the fact that there was no electricity no phone and no water everything was untouched…his windows didn’t face south so we couldnt know what we were in for…as we left the building we saw robert dineros tribeca grill which was directly across the street…it was covered with that dust and you could see candles eerily flickering from the open doors…there was a park that had so much of that dust covering it that it looked like a cemetery…then we got to ground zero…it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to convey the feelings that overtook me…
i remembered some years before that i saw the movie terminator…the opening scene of that movie showed the aftermath of a future high-tech war…i remembered at the time that i thought that was the most real depiction of total destruction i had seen in movies…that’s what ground zero looked like…but with one major exception…instead of that destruction just being a visual experience this was real…i could smell that strong strange odor and i could feel the heavy air and the heat that brought the buildings down…there was not much organization but we werent allowed to help by searching for survivors…all we could to do was to bring water to those that were…after about 36 hours all of us civilian volunteers were told to leave…when i got home there was a message to call my mom…she told me that robert never got home…

in an interview with entertainment news last may mel gibson verbally attacked president bush comparing his leadership to the barbaric rulers of the mayan civilization in his new film apocalypto…the epic due for release later this year captures the decline of the maya kingdom and the slaughter of thousands of inhabitants as human sacrifices…he said the fear-mongering we depict in the film reminds me of president bush and his guys…
.
.
gibson was arrested for drivinng while intoxicated (drunk) a couple days ago in malibu california…here are some of his quotes…
.
on being arrested…my life is fucked
gibson told the arresting deputy…you mother fucker im going to fuck you…i own malibu and will spend all of my money to get even(with you)
are you a jew…fucking jews…the jews are responsible for all the wars in the world
.
theres more but i limit myself to four ‘fucks’ per blog
when gibson produced the passion of the Christ he became a conservative darling…when he bashed bush he became a liberal darling…now hes a pariah to both groups…whats next for bigot mel…well im sure it will be the same as was for all the other assholes who reveal their true selves while sloshed…REHAB

while i was growing up in ozone park my best friend robert was doing the same around the corner…one day in 1985 roberts older brother james told my mom that he was going to register robert for st mary gate of heaven grammar school and he wanted to know if she would like him to register me also…my mom said sure but werent we both too young…he said yes but since his family had an in with the church it was ok…robert and me both entered the first grade that september…in 1993 we both went to archbishop molloy high school and after graduation in 1997 we both joined the military…i joined the army and he joined the navy…it was the first time that our lives took different turns…we both discharged in April of 2001 and we both entered college that september…i went to st johns university in jamaica nyc and he decided on pace university located in one of the world trade centers smaller adjacent buildings…robert was to be married to his childhood sweetheart terry in June of ‘02 and i was going to be the best man…then September 11 happened and robert called home saying he was ok…the rest is all supposition on my part…robert must have seen people jumping from the 100th floor and he must have seen the firemen needing help…so knowing robert im sure he began to help…probably entering the building to help get people out…robert was the best friend i ever had and he is also my hero…i believe it was the end of may 2002 when the ground zero cleanup was completed and about a month later when roberts folks were informed that no trace of him was found…it was four years ago today when i gave the eulogy at my friends memorial service…i spoke of our happy times together…through my tears i tried to to convey roberts happy-go-lucky nature…his love of his family and his love of his country…i knew robert was in a better place and that he was laughing at my struggling to get through my thoughts…
.
i ended my words with this poem i had written…
.
today marks a hard to accept
moment for us all
as we bear witness
to both an end and a beginning
.
and while we must continue on
we must also be grateful
to have been blessed
with someone
who has so ably shared with us
everything that he was
.
when there has been so much love
and happiness for someone
it is natural to be reluctant
to close such a wonderful chapter
in our lives
.
moving forward is rarely accomplished without
considerable grief and sadness
and while our sorrow
may be profound
the clouds will clear
and the sun will shine on us again
.
and in that warm bright light
we will find ourselves
facing a glorious future
a future of exciting challenges
and infinite possibilities
in which the horizon
will stretch out before us
rimmed in the heavenly glow
of the sunrise of our tomorrow…

bush was also ambushed at the funeral of coretta scott king…
i read that president bush will address the NAALCP today…i tell you…hes a better man than i…during the 2000 elections the then governor bush spoke at this same NAALCP convention and was met politely…according to the polls at that time about half of the black voters thought of candidate bush in a positive manner…this caused panic in the democratic party and in the NAALCP wing of the party…so in typical liberal manner they released a commercial accusing governor bush of complicity in the brutal murder of james byrd jr…and in another democrat/liberal manner they used byrds daughter to accuse bush of this (see previous blog about ann coulters book about the shameful democratic use of victims in their political rants so there wont be any rebuttals)…candidate bush was being stabbed in the back as he was being politely received because this commercial was in production as he was speaking..since that time the NAALCP has accused the president of being a slave master…of wanting to eliminate all civil rights…of being worse than the taliban…of wanting the confederate flag to fly over the white house…his appointments who happened to be black were accused of being house slaves doing their masters bidding…they have organized the throwing of oreo cookies at the rallies of the republican candidate for governor of illinois…i can go on but im boring myself…as i said before i went off on my tangents…the president is a better man than i…
